Olympique Marseille midfielder Benoit Cheyrou has been linked to Juventus recently but according to CM.com French sources the Bianconeri last contact with the player dates back to April.

Last April, the player’s agent met up with the Old Lady Directors to discuss a potential move to Turin since Cheyrou was going through a difficult spell under Didier Deschamps.

The agent was also in touch with Milan and Parma although the negotiations with Juventus were at an advanced stage. The player would certainly fancy a move to Serie A although it seems difficult that the 30-year-old midfielder leaves France in the next transfer window.

However, his agent is planning another mission to Italy in spring time since Cheyrou’s contract expires in June 2013 and the player may refuse an extension. Benoit is the younger brother of Bruno Cheyrou, who played for Lille and Liverpool.
