    Manchester United will offer Louis van Gaal a behind the scenes role to see out the remaining year of his contract at Old Trafford. According to The Sun, the Dutchman will be given the job of Director of Football.

    The Guardian and Express both report that Liverpool are set to sign Mainz goalkeeper Loris Karius for £4.7 million, with the deal being completed as early as next week.

    The same journal reports that Southampton have stepped up their quest to sign Anderlecht midfielder Dennis Praet from under the noses of champions Leicester City.
