Eva Carneiro; "After leaving Chelsea I received death threats"

Former Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro has spoken exclusively to The Daily Telegraph about the campaign to eradicate violence against woman and to talk about the role women have in football.

Speaking from her Harley Street consulting rooms, she explained that; “We must put an end to discrimination. I think that everyone is aware that there is sexism in football. A female doctor working in that industry impresses men and I think that is unacceptable”.

Carneiro came out with a startling revelation about her much publicised departure from Stamford Bridge last season. She explained that; “I’m not very active on social media and I think I’ve only made a few posts but there were some really serious threats from people with no identities. I believe that incidents like this are like suffering abuse and should be investigated more seriously by the police.”

The Italian won her court case against the Stamford Bridge club for unfair dismissal after being relived of her position as club doctor in 2015.
