Everton set to pip Roma, Juventus to Man United wantaway Depay

It appears that Juventus and Roma are set to be disappointed in their chase of Memphis Depay.

The Sun report that Everton are close to nabbing outsider Depay, as well as team-mate Morgan Schneiderlin.

The Dutchman has cut a frustrated figure at the Old Trafford this season, playing very little and feeding the rumour mill with his desire to play regular football with his videos of him working out, a counter to claims that he is unfit.

The two Serie A sides looked to be serious candidates when it transpired that Jose Mourinho didn’t want to sell the dangerous Depay to a Premier League rival.

This latest report claims this resistance has melted away.

Juventus’ interest in the Dutchman seems to have declined in the last few weeks, anyway.

Roma, however, need a winger following the injuries of Alessandro Florenzi and Mohamed Salah both unavailable in January.

Then again, it looks like the Giallorossi are opting for cheap options up front anyway, with someone like Emanuele Giaccherini fitting the bill.
