Evra tells Higuain: 'You're the best striker in the world!'
Only six years removed from leading the French team’s strike against Coach Raymond Domenech at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the former Manchester United man has since become the model professional in Turin, and demonstrated this by issuing a love declaration for new team-mate Gonzalo Higuain today.
Writing on his instagram account, the Frenchman expressed his admiration of El Pipita in rather candid fashion, before apologizing to his team-mate for not being more effusive with his praise last season, when Higuain netted 34 Serie A goals for rivals Napoli.
“I’ve only played with you for four months, but I already love you in a way even I can’t understand”, the 32-year-old wrote on his instagram page.
“I apologize for not telling you that you were the best striker in the world at the end of last season”.
