EXCLUSIVE: Atletico reject loan offer for Cerci, Bacca not a target | by Federico Albrizio

Alessio Cerci joined Milan on loan exactly one year ago, after a dry six-months spell at Atletico Madrid. Colchoneros acquired him for € 15 million from Torino in summer 2014, but the Italian winger has been a flop both at Milan and Atletico.

Rumors have suggested that former Fiorentina and Roma man would have joined Genoa on loan for six months in January window, but Atletico Madrid only want to sell Cerci on a permanent basis and have not allowed the player to leave Milan on loan, calciomercato.com’s Serie A pundit Federico Albrizio has revealed.

The 28-year-old winger has only netted one goal in 32 games with Milan, while he racked-up just nine appearances during his six-months spell at the Calderon.

Albrizio also points out that Colchoneros are not interested in signing Milan top-scorer Carlos Bacca, though the Rossoneri would never sell their most valuable player.

As we previously reported, Diego Pablo Simeone wants to sign Mauro Icardi to replace former Milan target Jackson Martinez who has failed to live up to expectations since he joined La Liga giants from Porto last summer.
