EXCLUSIVE Romano: Who was Bayern DS Sammer scouting at Napoli - Milan?

Bayern Munich aren't just facing Italian opposition in the Champions League, they're facing off with Serie A teams on another front: the transfer front.

Following our reports that Carlo Ancelotti & Co want a piece of Federico Bernardeschi (whom Carletto is crazy about) and Bologna prodigy Amadou Diawara, yesterday's Napoli - Milan tie threw up a list of players who are known to be in the BuLi giants' sights. But who?

Let's start with the visitors, who was absent, but is known to be one of Carletto's targets. Know who was there? Bayern's Director of Sport, Matthias Sammer, who wanted to check up on Carlos Bacca, one of Robert Lewandowski's potential successors should he move to Real Madrid. We must specify that the Bundesliga leaders haven't made progress is a phase as elementary as making contact with Milan and the Colombian's entourage. The Diavolo doesn't want to lose one of his crown jewels, but this doesn't mean that Bayern aren't keeping an eye on the man who has netted times in Serie A games so far.

RADAR SUL NAPOLI – Three more names are on Sammer's list... and they all play for Napoli. We begin with Gonzalo Higuain, another potential replacement for Lewa. Bayern's main focus, however, is on two young, talented players like Lorenzo Insigne and Kalidou Koulibaly.

Again, Bayern aren't even negotiating over them there (though Insigne's agent has had to deny reports of talks!), as they're both highly valued by the Azzurri. One thing is certain: Carletto is preparing a transfer coup... and it could well involve a Serie A team.
