EXCLUSIVE ROMANO: Rodrigo Caio-Milan, there are many obstacles ahead

Rodrigo Caio will be a difficult objective for Milan in January. Many clubs are after the Brazilian defender as Santos are evaluating his future.Hamburg had a 12 million euros offer turned down this past summer and Sevilla had strong interest as well.

All the obstacles- The first problem is the fact that many teams are after him. Valencia,Hamburg,Sevilla,Napoli,Milan are all after the player who has now received his European passport. Milan have had contacts with his entourage in the past and they will try to do so in the future. Another problem is the fact that Sao Paulo do not need to sell (they are okay financially speaking). His current valuation is set at 15-16 million euros but this number can only increase.

Milan’s interest- Milan know that many clubs are after the player and this is why they are trying to convince him of their new Chinese project. Sevilla offered him 2.5 million euros  this past month as Milan will offer him even more so (with bonuses included). Milan are trying to get the player’s yes  as his father might come to Italy in November before making a decision (he is intrigued by Milan). It still won’t be easy to get Sao Paulo’s approval on a deal since they will not accept any loans with obligation to buy. Will an agreement be found? It will be hard but Milan will give their all.
