Francesco Totti could retire at the end of the season

Francesco Totti’s intolerance shown at the end of Roma Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Tuesday night, could bring quite a lot of problems for both the team and the club.

Fans consider Totti, 39, the king of Rome and the captain loves  the city and the club so much that he doesn’t want to play for any other side but AS Roma until he retires.
The next few weeks could be decisive to understand Francesco Totti’s future at the Olimpico.

As Il Corriere dello Sport points out this morning clubs from everywhere around the world have already knocked the captain’s door. His deal with Roma ends in June and he has already received offers from America, China, Japan and United Arab Emirates, but Totti only wants to play for Roma, the team of his heart.

Despite his age, the player feels he can still help his lads on the pitch, even coming off the bench. A meeting with the club’s president James Pallotta has been already scheduled for March, but if Totti won’t be given the right guarantees in terms of playing time, he could decide to retire at the end of the season.

Scorer of 293 goals in 721 games with Roma, Totti will be given the finals word with an exclusive interview that is going to be broadcasted very soon in Italy.
