    Guardiola rejected Real Madrid job offer

    Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola rejected a job offer of Real Madrid last summer. The Catalan tactician was contacted by representatives of the Merengues when Rafa Benitez was on the brink of sacking and Guardiola was in charge of Bayern Munich.

    Guardiola, a former manager of Barcelona, however, reportedly turned down Florentino Perez’s job offer, remaining in Germany until the end of the season before moving to the Etihad Stadium.

    This stunning news has been released to Radio station SER Catalunya by Spanish journalist Martì Perarnau, author of many books about the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss.
