The end of the relationship between Wesley Sneijder and Inter is close. The Dutch midfield is expected to leave San Siro in the summer.

Zenit St. Petersburg have shown their interest in the player but the Nerazzurri may once again be doing business with Anzhi.

Following the Eto’o deal, the Russian outfit is now looking to sign Sneijder. Inter won’t stop the player from leaving especially if they can make good money from his departure.

On the other hand, Sneijder is tired of the Nerazzurri and would be delighted to pen a remunerative deal with the Russians.

• Napoli: Cissokho & Bastos

Napoli have sent out their scouts to follow Lyon stars Michel Bastos and Aly Cissokho. The Azzurri’s target for the summer is to sign a wing-back as good as Cristian Maggio to cover the left flank.

“We need a left-footed Maggio,” explained scout Leonardo Mantovani.

Bastos is their primary target and the Azzurri have already approached the player and the club with an offer.

Cissokho would be the alternative considering that he may be transfer listed. The left-back was once close to Milan but failed to sign for the Rossoneri following his medical in Italy.

In the meantime, Napoli are also looking at defensive midfielder Stéphane Mbia, who could strengthen their squad ahead of the next season.
