Inter won't sign Soriano in the summer: here’s why

Sampdoria ace Roberto Soriano was supposed to be the first signing of Inter in the 2016-17 campaign. The nerazzurri had an option to buy him, but the club’s sporting director Piero Ausilio met the player’s agent Tullio Tinti at Reggio Emilia’s Mapei Stadium on Saturday night reportedly informing that Inter are not interested anymore in welcoming the player’s services.

Roberto Mancini wants to buy a more experienced central midfielder who could partner with Eve Banega in the middle of the pitch: Yaya Touré is known to be Roberto Mancini’s designated man.

As this morning’s edition of Tuttosport reports, Soriano can only arrive at the San Siro if Marcelo Brozovic leaves. The German-born midfielder is not the only player the two clubs are negotiating over.

Andrea Ranocchia will return to Inter at the end of his loan spell, looking for a new club to join in the summer, whilst the nerazzurri will make Eder’s move permanent for a fee in the region of € 12 million.
