Juve-Bonucci, a renewal is now very close: he will earn 5 million euros plus bonuses

Juve-Bonucci, a contract renewal is now edging closer to being complete. Juventus and Bonucci had received a monster offer from Guardiola’s City as they initially offered 40 million euros, which was then bumped up to 60 million euros plus bonuses for Bonucci. The Italian defender stayed loyal to Juve by turning down such an offer. Then in the month of August, while Juve were pondering a strategy with Alessandro Lucci to bring Cuadrado back in Turin (he is also Bonucci’s agent) , they had advanced talks for Bonucci’s contract exentsion. Finally, In tne past few days Lucci met with Juve yet again and a deal is now very close to being finalized. Both parties won’t rush anything but a deal will soon be announced.

The Numbers- While Juve are also strongly working on Dybala’s renewal, Bonucci’s renewal numbers will be very high.In all likelihood, the player will make 5 million euros + bonuses per season (which can go up to 6 million euros) and a contract till 2021. This would place Bonucci as the second highest paid player with Juve after Higuain.

The promise has been maintained- Guardiola’s City had offered Bonucci 8 million euros net per season which wasn't a matchable number for Juve but they promised Bonucci that they were going to reward his loyalty. That moment now seems to be arriving….
