Leicester City make Mancini contact to replace Claudio Ranieri

Leicester City have sacked Claudio Ranieri. The Italian tactician did not expect the club’s decision but the Foxes are already looking for a possible replacement for the man who brought the Foxes to Premier League glory for the first time in their history.
According to a report of Sky Sports UK, the Premier League defending champions have made contact with Roberto Mancini to offer him the job at the King Power Stadium.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms that Mancini is the leading candidate to replace Ranieri adding that former Inter boss Franck De Boer is also in race to become the next Foxes’ manager.

De Boer had replaced Mancini as Inter boss this past August but the Dutchman was sacked three months after taking over at the Meazza with seven defeats in 14 games.
Representatives of Leicester City will held a press conference at 1pm (CET) when they could announce Ranieri’s successor.
