PAPER TALK - Juventus want Chelsea's Fabregas, Watford- Pereyra, Foxes like Gabigol!
The Bianconeri are not, however, willing to offer more than €30 million, plus bonuses.
Fabregas has long been a target both of technical director Giuseppe Marotta, but also of Max Allegri, who already wanted the Catalan back when Big Max was at AC Milan.
The Bianconeri are also interested in another big hitter: Marcelo Brozovic, with whom Inter have suspended contract negotiations. Because of their interest in Joao Mario, the Gazzetta claims that the Nerazzurri will have to sell Marcelo Brozovic to allow them to balance the books.
Speaking of Premier League clubs, Tuttosport also report that Watford have made a €16 million offer for likely Juve surplus Roberto Pereyra, whose first season with the Bianconeri was a very positive one, but who languished because of injury in his last campaign. The Turinese side does, however, want at least 18m for El Tucumano.
The Nikola Maksimovic story is reported by all of Italy’s biggest media outlets, as it could be what tips the Serbian into leaving for Chelsea… or Napoli, who are closer to him at the moment. Tuttosport in particular report that he is the subject of a €24m (plus 3m more in bonuses) from Napoli, flush with cash after the 90m sale of Gonzalo Higuain.
AC Milan, on the other hand, are reported by the Corriere to have made a €13m offer to Boca Juniors for Rodrigo Bentancur… but also issued an ultimatum to the Argentines, saying that if they didn’t hear back by the end of today, they’d look elsewhere. The situation is taking too long, and the Rossoneri need bodies for next season.
The Corriere and the Gazzetta also report on Juventus’ approach to the Gabigol situation. Inter have made a €25 million offer for the Santos star, but he wants to wait until the Olympic games are over… when he will choose between his club, the Italian giants… and fellow admirers Leicester City!
The Gazzetta also report on Carlos Bacca’s decision to snub West Ham and stay with Milan, to whom he also promised to score 20 goals. He nabbed 16 last season, remember...
