Pescara fans accuse police of committing violence during travel for Lazio clash

Apart from the result, yesterday’s Lazio clash was definitely not a good one for Pescara fans. Many of them have accused police of having treated them ‘like beasts’ during their travel to the Olimpico.

Here’s what Nella Grossi, president of women fans club ‘Donne Biancazzurre’ told Rete8 Sport: ‘They [police] exaggerated. We were blocked at Roma’s highway toll booth for 45 minutes and then we were taken around the city. They made us enter the Olimpico after the beginning of the first half. It was shameful.”

“During the return journey they did not allow us to do any stop, which means not using toilets of service stations. In addition to that they also laid their hands on someone of us.”

Another fan of Pescara, Fabio Manzo, added: “Police trampled on our dignity. There were also women, babies and elderly men.”
