REVEALED Who is United, City (and Genoa!) target Kalaica?
We recently wrote that Italian club Genoa are also interested, but a further question warrants an answering: who exactly is Kalaica?
Born in 1998, the young Croatian has often been compared to Laurent Blanc for his leadership skills, and boasts an impressive physical frame, all 1.95 metres and 90 kilos of him.
Born in 1998, it didn't take long for the youngster to get noticed out of Dinamo Zagabria's academy, never even playing a league game with the Croatians before being snapped up by Benfica, who were impressed at his performances in the Uefa Youth League... despite being sent off once.
Having not played for the Eagles either – who signed him in June – a number of clubs think that Kalaica can be prized away, convinced that his 36 performances for Croatia's youth teams is proof of his talent.
Though he is only valued at €1 million, it will be difficult to prize him away from Benfica, who are big believers in him.
