Roma star Rudiger is running again!
This splendid news has just greeted Roma fans, who saw their hopes of entering this season with a strong centre-back pairing dashed when the German international tore his ACL earlier this summer.
It was even worse for Rudiger, who would have been all but guaranteed a starting berth with Germany at this summer’s European Championships. The 26-year-old German tweeted today about his return to the pitch.
Though it’s reason to be positive, it’s not enough to expect an immediate resumption of physical activities, as the German did nothing more (but nothing less too) than run.
Rudiger is expected to return sometime in the Autumn.
