    Also Juventus are seeking an attacking midfielder, and, as well known, one of their main targets for such position is Empoli 23-year-old Riccardo Saponara. The azzurri’s Sporting Director Marcello Carli told calciomercato.com:

    “No, last Sunday we didn’t talk with Juve about him. Juve know that we won’t sell him in January. We don’t want to sell anyone during the next transfer window. Also Liverpool after him? Maybe some foreign clubs are interested, as he is a great talent, but he have been extremely clear: we don’t want to talk about him with anybody at the moment. We want to remain in the Serie A, and it would be difficult without out best players”

    Carli also talked about the 25-year-old defender Lorenzo Tonelli, considered a Lazio target: “He’s committed to our club, he grew up here. There will be no problems for his new contract, and, I repeat, we want to keep all our best players for the season”
