Simeone hints at Atletico Madrid exit: ‘I may not renew my contract’
“I gave everything for this club and I always will. Everybody knows that.”
Inter have been heavily linked with welcoming his services anytime in the future and Simeone seemed open to switch club.
“This, however, doesn’t mean that I’ll renew my contract with the club. We are football managers and everything can happen. I’ve given the best I could.”
His son Giovanni netted his first Serie A goal with Genoa last term, and El Cholo could not hide his happiness for his son’s achievement.
“I am happy for him, he’s willing to sacrifice and he always listens. Serie A is a tough league and he’ll have to work hard. Improvements depend on his work. I never talk about his career because he has to make his own experiences.”
