    Stats Crunch: Torino's troublesome attack

Things aren't exactly going swimmingly for Torino at the moment. Having made a very encouraging start to the season under Giampiero Ventura's tutorship with four wins in six games, the Granata are now winless in six games.

With the defence still reeling from Nikola Maksimovic's absence, the Turinese outfit have only kept one clean sheet this season, at home against Sampdoria.

Their 1-0 home defeat to Inter on Sunday was typical in many ways, Torino doing a lot of the attacking but paying the price for a leaky defence, which fell asleep on the free kick that gifted Geoffrey Kondogbia his maiden Serie A goal.

The trouble is, however, that the Granata are also struggling to score. Serie A is generally unforgiving towards sides who hope to score one more than their opponent, as Zdenek Zeman's record suggests.

The numbers are there for all to see: having begun the campaign with four goals in as many games, Fabio Quagliarella has failed to trouble the scorers in fifty days, since the end of September.

The rest of the attack is faring little better, with Maxi Lopez still yet to find his best form, whilst Italian Under-21 star Andrea Belotti has failed to make the most of the increased playing time he's had of late.

Ever since Quagliarella has failed to score, the Granata attack has contributed a grand total of two goals... out of eight.
