According to Calcio & Finanzia the club icon has cost the giallorossi €152 million gross (€84.25 million net) since season 96/97 between salaries and image rights. His average earnings have been €4 milion net per season with his biggest earnings coming in 2004/05 when the captain earned a net salary of €6 million (source: Calcio Finanzia su bilanci e comunicati AS Roma SpA) In what is believed to be his final season with the club, Totti is currently earning €1.2 million.  

Totti has been with the capital club since 1992 and has currently made 605 appearances for his hometown team. Last weekend’s penalty in the 3-1 defeat at Torino was his 250th in all competitions. His international career has been less successful despite being part of the 2006 World Cup winning squad – He retired immediately after the tournament having made 58 appearances for his country scoring just nine goals.
