'You Inter b***ard!': Posters attack Mayor of Naples, rival candidate involved?
Welcome to Italy ladies and gentlemen, a land in which hundreds of posters have magically appeared this morning all around Naples, blaming mayor Luigi De Magistris for failing to renovate the San Paolo Stadium.
It has since emerged that Ivan Trocchia, a left-wing politician of Naples' second district, was able to take pictures of three men who were pinning them up: they wore jackets with a pink arrow reminiscent of mayoral rival Gianni Lettieri's campaign.
Trocchia was threatened when the men saw him taking pictures, and was made to delete the pictures, only for him to restore them later. Both De Magistris and Lettieri have since gone on to sue one another for slander.
"Our hands are clean, we've booted the camorra from the white collar sector and corruption from San Giacomo. Whilst we work for those without power, others can only resort to defamation".
