Exclusive: Agent reveals interest of AC Milan and Inter for Brazilian starlet

Gabriel Jesus is not the only prospect under contract with Brazilian side Palmeiras that are close to winning the Brailerao having a six-point lead over Santos with four games left before the end of the campaign.

Roger Guedes is another hot prospect playing for the Brazilian club. The versatile 19-year old winger has two goals in 17 appearances and is imposing himself as one of the most promising players in South America.

Calciomercato.com’s Emanuele Tramacere has exclusively interviewed the Brazilian starlet’s agent Cesar Botega who has confirmed that AC Milan and Inter are interested in signing his client.

Inter and AC Milan have been scouting Roger Guedes for very long time, is their interest concrete?
“Both clubs are monitoring the player, they are interested but there are no official offers yet.”

Does the player have any preference between the two clubs?
“Roger is only focused on Palmeiras at the moment, he’d be happy to join any of these two glorious clubs which are among the best in the world. It would a honour for him.”

Rumours suggest that Palmeiras do not own the 100% of the player’s economic rights.
“No, that’s not true. Roger completely belongs to Palmeiras. His former club Criciuma, however, have a 50% profit from the next sale.”

Do Barcelona have a first option clause to sign the player?
“Honestly, Barcelona came to Brazil to scout Gabriel Jesus, but they also set sights on Guedes. They have noticed his talent but there are no written agreements with Barcelona.”

How much does Guedes cost at the moment?
“Palmeiras have not set their price, but I think that an offer of € 15 million should be enough to seal the player’s transfer.”
