Ibrahimovic reveals background of Juventus departure and move to Barcelona

In the second chapter of his autobiography, I am football, Zlatan Ibrahimovic unveiled the background of his departures from Juventus and Inter in several passages. Parts of these extracts have been published by  Gazzetta dello Sport in their magazine Fuorigioco

On his farewell from Juventus, which took place in 2006 after the Calciopoli scandal, Ibrahimovic revealed some interesting details. According to him, the catalyst of the departure was a quarrel with former Juventus director Luciano Moggi, who after a red card against Bayern, threatened to deny him the renewal of his contract. "I don't want to stay in Turin. There is nothing you can do to make me stay here," Ibra answered.

Ibrahimovic moved to Inter, winning three titles in as many seasons, before moving to Barcelona. The transfer was born like this: "While Maxwell collected his things, I handed him a pair of my playing shoes saying; "Take them to Barcelona, I'll join you soon'. Everyone laughed. They thought we were joking. In two days Barca invited me to an official meeting and after twenty minutes I was a  Blaugrana player."
