Therefore, Inter have begun their search for a new defender, who could arrive already in January. With that said, it won't be easy for Marotta and Ausilio to find a cheap solution that can replace the Brazilian, especially not in these times. 

 

Another team that is looking for a defender, is AC Milan, who are experiencing quite the crisis at the back. The Rossoneri have eyed the likes of Godin and Cahill, who are also on Inter's wish list. 

 

The Nerazzurri could, therefore, by entering the market for a defender, spark a derby clash with Milan. Then again, much will depend on the departure of Miranda, as Inter would only need a defender if he leaves.
