Juventus alerted over Liverpool star amid Man Utd links

Juventus are long time admirers of Liverpool star Emre Can who will see his contract expire at the end of the season. The 23-year-old is yet not willing to pen a new deal with the Reds and the Old Lady is ready to offer the Germany midfielder a contract once the winter transfer window begins.

Juve want to reach an agreement with the player before trying to convince Liverpool to sell him. If Can does not sign a new contract, in fact, Juventus and any other club can sign him as a free agent at the end of the season leaving Liverpool with one last chance to monetize the player’s sale in January.

According to our transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano, however, Liverpool will do all they can to extend Can’s stay at Anfield Road. The Reds are not open to sell in January and want to take all the time they can to persuade the player.

Juventus, however, must also face another threat: Manchester United, in fact, are reportedly interested in signing the talented midfielder as José Mourinho is seeking for the heir of Michael Carrick who will see his contract expire at the end of the season.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport as quoted by Ilbianconero, former Juventus chief scout Javier Ribalta has told the Red Devils to sign the Germany midfielder in the summer. Ribalta is now the head scout of Manchester United.
