REPORT: Selecao GK Alisson turns down Juventus for Roma!
Yet that's exactly what Brazilian international Alisson seems to have done, if a report from the Brazilian press is to be believed.
According to the Brazilian newspaper Zeta Hora, the Internacional goalkeeper has even gone as far as to shoot down a proposal from Juventus, whom we reported saw in him a potential successor to Gianluigi Buffon.
Key to the decision, however, is his predecessor and countryman Neto's fate: from respected (if error-prone) Serie A goalkeeper to benchwarmer in six months... can't have helped. Who knew that that Buffon guy could play?
Alisson wants to start, and the door is wide open at Roma, with both Morgan de Sanctis and Wojciech Sczczesny very likely to pack their bags in June.
