The Ronaldo effect: Juventus among 10 highest average salary payers in the world

The Cristiano Ronaldo is felt at Juventus, and not only on the pitch. The Bianconeri now also enter the world's top ten sports teams in terms of average annual salaries paid to its players. This is what emerges from the survey conducted by Sporting Intelligence that, evaluating the main championships of all sports (350 teams in 13 countries), crowns football and basketball as the most profitable for players.

At the top of this special standings, however, there are no NBA franchises, but Barcelona and Real Madrid. The Blaugrana are placed first with 11.8 million euros as the average salary, followed closely by Real with 10.6 million. Behind them, there are five NBA teams: Oklahoma City Thunder, the Golden State Warriors, the Toronto Raptors, the Houston Rockets and the Miami Heat. Manchester United close the top 10 with 7.5 million euros.

The surprise, however, is the ninth place of Juventus, which only a year ago was in 32nd place of this ranking. This is the merit of Cristiano Ronaldo, who made the average annual salary jump to 7.8 million euros. Twenty-three positions climbed and an entry in the world's top ten of all sports: CR7 projects Juventus into a new dimension.
