AC Milan-UEFA: The Rossoneri strategy in case of an 'unfair' punishment

AC Milan met UEFA yesterday in Nyon to discuss a new agreement between the parties after the summer chaos surrounding the club. The Rossoneri expect a reasonable fine, otherwise, they are ready to start a battle with the highest administrative body of European football.

If the punishment is too heavy, the strategy is already prepared. The club does not hold back in front of its responsibilities. The previous owner made mistakes and it is right to pay for them, but it must be proportionate.

In a nutshell, Scaroni and co. expect a fine (not by chance already 17 million has been allocated for this purpose) with at most some limitations for the Europa League (players arriving in January not being able to play in Europa).

If UEFA intend to have a heavy hand and impose a penalty considered "not fair" by Milan, the club will return to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, which last summer cancelled UEFA's decision to exclude Milan from European competitions. The court specified that the penalty must be "proportional to the fault" and not as serious as the one previously imposed. Just what Milan expects.
