Borussia slam 'disrespectful' Milan for chasing £65m striker

Things are looking difficult in Milan’s quest to land Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, if the Yellow & Black’s CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke, is anything to go by.

The 28-year-old turned into one of Europe’s most dangerous attackers after he was ditched by Milan for peanuts in 2011, scoring 85 goals for Borussia Dortmund after joining from Saint-Etienne.

Enough to earn a £65 million (reported) pricetag, the Gabonese international is wanted by Spurs and Liverpool.

“Milan? It’s not possible that directors of another team keep publicly naming him as a transfer objective, I found it disrespectful,” Watzke said, “Now we’re ready to send a clear message, Pierre will stay with us.”

Chelsea, Real Madrid and PSG have also been linked to the French-born player.

"Because Aubameyang gave us a great contribution over the years, we decided to give him eight weeks to find another club in the transfer window, and find us an offer which satisfies his and our ambitions. But not his time is out, we need to prepare the season, and we want to do it with him”.
