Chelsea considering Sarri sack; Roma or AC Milan move possible

The return to the Champions League thanks to the third place in the Premier League standings, the League Cup final lost against Manchester City in the penalty shootout and the Europa League final still to be played against Arsenal may not be enough for Maurizio Sarri to earn his confirmation at the Stamford Bridge for next season.

Despite a contract until June 2021, Chelsea's owner Roman Abramovich is considering sacking the former Napoli man, mainly due to to the fact that Sarri has not exactly earned the appreciation of the fans.

In this case, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Sarri would be ready to return to Serie A. Roma and AC Milan are two teams that could be interested in his services, with the Giallorossi looking to replace Claudio Ranieri, while the Rossoneri seem destined to part ways with Gennaro Gattuso at the end of the season.

However, as the Milanese paper writes, the future of the latter is not yet completely decided, as club CEO Ivan Gazidis could also confirm Gattuso in case of qualification to the Champions League. The other names appreciated by the Milan management are Eusebio Di Francesco, Simone Inzaghi or Marco Giampaolo.
