Chiesa defends himself: “I’m not a player who dives”

Interviewed by Sky Sport at the Nike event, Federico Chiesa spoke about playing for the National team, as well as his goal for this season.

"It's always an honour to wear the Italian jersey. Yesterday's victory against the USA was fundamental and exciting, I say thanks to Mancini, I am happy to be part of this group.

"My goal is to do better than last year, I will try to score at least seven goals or more, but the important thing is to play well, win and keep growing with Fiorentina too.

"I'm a player who dives? I'm a player who dribbles, which means the goal is to 'jump' the opponent, then it can happen that you go to ground more often than not. The most important thing is to get back up again, I don't think about the penalty against Atalanta," he concluded.
