Day D of the Ballon d'Or: Modric ahead of Ronaldo and Griezmann

The day of the Ballon d'Or ceremony has arrived. Tonight at 9 pm, at the France Football headquarters, former footballer David Ginola will award the most famous individual trophy to the player who will collect most points from the jury of 173 selected journalists.

In fact, each juror has selected, from the list of 30, five players in order of merit. To these, they have assigned 6 points (to the first) and then 4, 3, 2, 1 as follows. The final sum of votes will determine the winner of the Ballon d'Or.

Until there is the official announcement, one cannot exclude surprises, but if the rumours will be confirmed, the winner will be Luka Modric from Real Madrid. Behind him should be Cristiano Ronaldo in second, and Griezmann in third. Both, however, should not be present at this evening's ceremony. Meanwhile, Mbappe and Varane are set to be out of the podium.
