Exclusive: Real Madrid make Marcelo transfer decision amid Juve links

Marcelo is one of those players who could leave Real Madrid either in January or at the end of the season and Juventus are regarded as one of the most interested clubs in signing the experienced left-back.

According to our transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano, however, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has already informed Marcelo's entourage that the Brazilian will remain at the Bernabeu until the end of the season.

Florentino considers the defender too decisive for the race to the fourth Champions League in a row, so the Brazilian will remain in Madrid until next summer. Florentino's intention would be to go even further, holding Marcelo to Madrid because of the special relationship that binds him to one of the best left-back of the world.

Juventus would only sign Marcelo if they sell Alex Sandro. The Brazilian's contract expires in 2020 and at the moment there is no agreement between him and the club for a possible contract extension. Jordi Alba and Alex Grimaldo are also on Juventus' sights.
