Inter, Ausilio on exits, Ramires and Scudetto

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has eased any fears over possible future exits while playing down Scudetto hopes this season.

The appointment of Luciano Spalletti coupled with key additions with experience and quality has worked well for the Nerazzurri thus far as they’re firmly in the hunt for a top-four finish.

Ausilio has offered more reassuring words to Inter supporters, while responding to specific transfer talk of a swoop for Ramires.

“Spalletti can be calm on this,” he responded to concerns over player sales.

“We’re trying to get the most out of this group. There is nothing out of the question but you made the [Ramires] link. We want to keep our players tight and so thinking about adding more without the proper assessments would be premature.”

Meanwhile, the 45-year-old also gave his thoughts on a potential assault for the Serie A title this season, and was keen to keep a lid on expectations rather than get too carried away with the positive start to the campaign.

“I think we approach it game by game. We’ll see in May where the points total will take us.”
