AS Roma defender Juan Jesus believes that the side from the Italian capital side could have scored five goals against Chelsea during the club’s 3-0 win over the Blues in the Champions League recently.

Roma had taken the lead in the very first minute of the game through Stephan El-Sharaawy and the Italian doubled the side’s lead in the 36th minute. Diego Perrotti’s second half strike completed the wreckage, but Jesus believes it could have been 5-0.

The Brazilian was speaking to Roma Radio about Roma’s start to the season. He told reporters: “Everyone is doing well and they feel important. We must continue this way. We have the strongest national goalkeeper in the world. He worked hard, even last year when he was playing less and he is proving that he is very strong.”

“Everyone can be wrong, every so often happens to us defenders, but we have a goalkeeper who prefers everything. On Tuesday we could have won 5-0. We were calm, we respect Chelsea, but the match in London and in Rome have shown that we can beat anyone if we play in a certain way.”

Roma currently top their Champions League group, with Chelsea second and Atletico Madrid third.
