Man Utd or Ciy? Ranieri predicts EPL winners, talks Chelsea struggles
According to the Italian paper, Ranieri was offered to return to Leicester City but he rejected a chance to be back at the Kings’ Power Stadium.
The former Foxes’ manager was asked his thoughts on the Premier League campaign, specifically on the title race and on one of his former clubs Chelsea.
“[The reasons behind Chelsea struggles] are mainly injuries”, Ranieri said.
“In addition to that it is not easy to replace Diego Costa. Morata is a great striker but he is not the same kind of striker as Costa. The latter has anger and physical strength, the Spaniard is very good with the ball at his feet and Chelsea had to change their style of play.”
“As for the Premier League title, I think either Man City or United can win it. They will go head to head until the end of the season. Tottenham and Chelsea, however, are also in race but I think Manchester clubs are the favourites.”
