Milan man doesn't want to move to Barcelona

Gerard Deulofeu doesn’t want to go to Barcelona, according to the latest reports from the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Everton loanee has enjoyed a fine half-season with AC Milan, scoring four goals and making three assists.

Recent reports seemed to indicate that Barcelona were certs to buy him back from the Toffees, with vice-president Robert Fernandez confirming that they would do so. The Blaugrana had the right to bring the 23-year-old back to the Nou Camp for only 12 million.

Deulofeu seemed to be validating this by posting what looked like a goodbye message on his Instagram account: “I have nothing but words of thanks for this team, I’ve been happy and have enjoyed the love and support both of my colleagues and my fans. From the bottom of my heart, thanks”.

Things have changed with the arrival of Ernesto Valverde, however: he doesn’t plan on using Deulofeu, pushing the 23-year-old to refuse to move to the Nou Camp.

Milan have been told about this, but they’re focussing on Keita Balde. Were they to fail to nab him, they could opt for Deulofeu…
