As a result of Roma's disastrous second-half performance against Cagliari, club president James Pallotta has sent a message to the newspaper Corriere Dello Sport, expressing his anger. 

 

"It was a joke! Being honest, the final of this match was a disgrace for Roma. This seems like a joke to me, a joke. This Roma team is crazy, it's clear that the result against Cagliari is a disgrace for us," he wrote in a text message. 

 

Following the recent weeks, and the somewhat abysmal start to the season, it will now be up to sporting director Monchi to decide about Di Francesco's future. 

 

The Spaniard has always defended his manager but the situation is getting tougher, putting the Italian under heavy observation. The upcoming days will be important for EDF's future, though it's clear that the club won't rush a decision.
