Roma consider €33m Chelsea target to be untouchable

Chelsea target Antonio Rudiger is set to stay in Rome, if the latest reports are accurate.

The German international is looking in great shape after suffering an ACL tear last season, one that kept him out of Euro 2016.

The Serie A club now considers the PSG, Bayern and Chelsea target to be untouchable, especially if talk of Kostas Manolas leaving leads somewhere.

In fact, reports indicate that the Blues were willing to offer €33/34 million with bonuses before the 23-year-old injured himself.

He himself made it quite apparent that he was happy in Rome, recently telling Transfermarkt.de (via Le10Sport) the following:

“Chelsea, Bayern and PSG? You must have heard from my brother, he takes care of these affairs for me, I only think of playing”.

“The rumours of a departure? I think to have helped the teal a lot and I could never complain about [Coach Luciano] Spalletti, or his support,” he told Transfermarkt.de.

“I’m very happy in Rome. It’s a great club and has some objectives to reach.

Then again, he did add something at the end…

“One day, Roma may not want me anymore, anything could happen in the next ten years”.
