Bayern Munich propose Benatia-Coman swap deal to Juve

Bayern Munich and Juventus are in talks over a possible swap between the Morocco International Medhi Benatia and the Frenchman starlet Kinglsey Coman, as Calciomercato.com understand.

At the moment both players are featuring at the Allianz Arenza, but while Kingsley Coman is a loanee at the Bundesliga giants, Mehdi Benatia is struggling to live up to expectations following his shocking € 28 million move from Roma in 2014.

Last summer Bayern Munich signed Coman on a two year-loan worth € 7 million, with an option to make the winger’s move permanent  from 2017 on a € 21 million deal. Despite playing only 471 minutes under Pep Guardiola, the former PSG youngster has already scored two goals and registered four assists this term.

As far as Medhi Benatia is concerned, it is not a matter of secrecy that Juventus have set their target on the central defender since very long time, but the player’s € 20 million price-tag have always discouraged the Turin’s club to make a bid for the former Roma star.

In addition, the purchase of a central defender is not a priority for the 31 times Serie A winners as manager Massimiliano Allegri can already rely on some of the most affordable central defenders in world’s football such as Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli, not to mention the young prospect Andrea Rugani.

The former Empoli starlet has still failed to play one single minute in this Serie A spell and both Napoli and Arsenal are reported to be very interested in the U-21 Italy International. If Rugani will fail to match Juventus’ expectations in the following months, a swap between Mehdi Benatia and Kingsley Coman could suddenly become more than just a simple idea.
