Former Man Utd target Bentancur all set for Juventus move

Former Manchester United target Rodrigo Bentancur is set to finalize his move to Juventus today as the Serie A giants’ CEO Giuseppe Marotta is going to meet the Argentinean side’s President Daniel Angelici.

The Old Lady has activated a € 9.4 million option to buy the Uruguayan midfielder beating off competition of Manchester United and AC Milan that tried to sign the 19-year-old promise last summer offering up to € 15 million.

Juventus have managed to get such a convenient clause when they sold Carlos Tevez to Boca Juniors for just € 1 million in summer 2015.

Given the interest of other European clubs, however, Juventus might be required to add a percentage on the next sale in order to allow Boca to cash in at least € 15 million, which is how much both Manchester United and AC Milan offered a few months ago.

According to Sky Italia, Bentancur’s move is set to be finalized today even if the player is going to stay at his club until the end of the season in Argentina, moving to Juventus straight after Boca’s last game this season.
