Chelsea join Liverpool, Marseille in race for Inter midfielder Kondogbia

It appears that Marseille and Liverpool aren’t the only  team eyeing Inter flop Geoffrey Kondogbia.

The former French international is now being targeted by Chelsea Coach Antonio Conte, according to a report from the Daily Express.

The 23-year-old centre midfielder has struggled to impose himself at the San Siro since joining for a massive 32 million last summer, scoring only one league goal, and providing a single assist.

Kondogbia had shined for AS Monaco and Sevilla before joining the Nerazzurri, but has since been linked to a return to France, where Marseille are willing to help Inter recoup their losses with a 30m bid.

Otherwise, Liverpool have also been sniffing around, seeing Kondogbia as the man who can add some steel to the midfield.

Now, the Express claim that Chelsea want to do the same. Seeing as Nemanja Matic is wanted by Manchester United and that both Oscar and Cesc Fabregas are potentially heading for the exit, some extra bodies are needed in the middle of park.
