Doubts over Icardi’s Inter future raise as striker skips friendly against Estudiantes

26 July at 21:12
Icardi’s future to Inter is still in doubt. The Argentinean striker wants to get a contract extension and a pay rise, but Inter director of sport Piero Ausilio has declared that offering Icardi a new contract is not a priority for the club at the moment, given that Icardi signed a new contract less than one year ago.

Napoli have offered the Argentinean hit-man a salary in the region of € 6.5 million a year and the striker has a verbal agreement to join the San Paolo side this summer. Trouble is, Inter are not going to listen to any offer for the 23-year-old striker. Suning Group wants to keep the striker who will play a vital part in building the club’s future under the new Chinese property.

Icardi is not going to take part to Inter friendly game against Estudiantes tomorrow night. Officially because of an intestinal inflammation, but, circumstances given, it is believed that his absence can be linked with his current situation at the club. More doubts will rise if Icardi will also skip the game after the Estudiantes clash, which is also a possibility at this stage.

In addition to that, Calciomercato.com has exclusively learned that the arrival of Milik at Napoli does not mean the partenopei are going to give up on the nerazzurri ace.
