Arsenal plan January raid on unhappy West Ham star Payet
Wenger is a long time admirer of Payet. The Arsenal manager confirmed last summer that he’s been scouting the 29-year-old star for very long time. Wenger was working as football pundit for the British TV during EURO 2016 last summer and praised his compatriot many times during the competitions.
West Ham are clearly not open to sell Payet nor in January nor at the end of the season, but with many clubs gathered in just a few points at the top of the Premier League table, Arsenal want to boost their title hopes signing the West Ham star who could be looking for a new club given the Hammers’ poor performances in Premier League this season.
