Arsenal players offer their daily wages as a donation to the club's foundation
Ivan Gazidis (Arsenal's chief executive) had this to say to Arsenal.com ahead of the game: " It is important to give back and this charity day is very important for everyone. We are lucky to be able to have the power to influence other peoples lives. We want to do the best we can".
Arsenal fans also had the opportunity to contribute as there were many different fundraising events at the Emirates Stadium in London.
In the end, Arsenal's generosity paid off as they beat Stoke City by a 3-1 score. Walcott, Ozil and Iwobi scored for the gunners where as Adam scored the lone goal for Stoke. It was a great day for Arsenal and their fans indeed .
