Darijo Srna wants Barcelona move

Darijo Srna has asked Shakhtar Donestk to leave the club if Barcelona make an offer to sign him in the January transfer window, today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo reports. The LaLiga giants are looking for a right-back who can replace Dani Alves as the Brazilian defender left the Nou Camp to join Juventus last summer.

Luis Enrique is being adapting Sergi Roberto to a new position, but has requested the club to sign a new right-back who can fill the boots of the experienced Brazilian defender.

Srna, 34, tops the blaugrana shortlist for the January transfer window as he has plenty of International experience and would be eligible to play the Champions League. Many other right-backs are being linked with moving to the Nou Campo in January, but Srna remains the most likely option with Barcelona that are going to use the Croatia International as a temporary replacement for Dani Alves before signing a new right defender in summer 2017.

The Croatian defender is attracted by the idea of playing for Barcelona at the end of his career and has asked the club to let him go if Barcelona request his services next month.
