EXCLUSIVE: Latest updates on AC Milan takeover by Chinese consortium

Today was a decisive day for AC Milan’s future. Silvio Berlusconi met his sons and daughters alongside Fininvest managers in Arcore to examine a report on Chinese investors willing to complete club’s takeover.

The biggest problem at this stage is represented by the names of some investors. Berlusconi and Fininvest are still not aware of the identity of some of the Chinese suitors. AC Milan, however, have been ensured about the group’s wealthy and reliability.

Berlusconi wants the new Chinese group to invest huge amounts of money in the transfer market each summer as well as beginning a plan to build a club-owned stadium in the city and develop the club’s brand in Asia.

Should the undefined Chinese group complete the takeover, they would be ready to spend € 150 million in the upcoming transfer window. The two parties are expected to sign a preliminary agreement by the 15th – 20th of June.
