Fiorentina's General Manager: 'The truth about Mammana'

During today’s press conference, Fiorentina General Manager Andrea Rogg has talked about his club’s recent transfer market campaign:
“It’s wrong to judge a project by the names of the players who have joined or not. Without a project, we wouldn’t be the third team on the Serie A table. What we did during the winter transfer window has been shared at 80% with Sousa. We had the will to reinforce our team. 5 players have joined and 7 have left. The signings have been decided together with the coach. The club owners never made money out of Fiorentina”.
Regarding the negotiation for River Plate defender Emanuel Mammana, Rogg added: “At a certain point, the club has decided to block the transfer, because some things had changed. We had sent Angeloni to Argentina to carry out the transfer, but the negotiations ended as River Plate wanted to keep part of the player’s ownership”
